Ian Martin
Associate Sound Designer
Ian is a US-born, Spain- and UK-raised Music Producer and Audio Engineer and trained at SAE, London. After falling in love with beat-making at age twelve, Ian has applied his uniquely creative skills to a wide variety of professional projects, from sound design and composing full-length original scores for theatre and film, to live and studio album recordings, to podcast production and beats for artists around the world. As an artist, he is inspired by great thinkers and writes with a vulnerable prophetic edge, speaking to what is from the borders of what could be. His beats are authentic rhythmic collages built through play and creative re-imagining of disparate sounds. He has collaborated with Amy Hailwood on several previous projects, including credits for Sound Design on Faraway, So Close (2014) and Joy Unspeakable Work-in-Progress (2016).
