Amy Hailwood

Artistic Director

Amy is a theatre director, Applied Theatre facilitator and the Artistic Director of Ordinary Glory. Amy has devised and directed a number of theatre productions with a social change ethos, including After Birth (Co:LAB Festival, Royal Exchange Manchester), Memories of Partition (Royal Exchange, Manchester) and Faraway, So Close (Old Fire Station Theatre, Oxford) and Assistant Directed on Parliament Square (Royal Exchange Manchester and Bush Theatre) and A Christmas Carol (Octagon Theatre Bolton). As an artist she is inspired by the beauty in the everyday and a commitment to the redemptive power of authentic communication - the blood-red, beating heart of live, theatre performance. Amy also spent three years as a part-time Participation Practitioner at the Octagon Theatre Bolton and worked for ten years in the social change sector prior to moving into the theatre industry.
